Paulina G. Arroyo

Board Chair and Vice President

Paulina is an environmental leader with more than 20 years of experience dedicated to rights-based conservation in Latin America, the US and beyond, with an emphasis on indigenous peoples’ rights, management effectiveness of protected areas, gender equity, shared governance for natural resource management and conservation finance for resiliency. Her driving force is ensuring that conservation has long-lasting impact and durability for future generations. 

Paulina works for Enduring Earth as their Director, Global Portfolio. Before that, she was at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation as director for adaptive management, evaluation and learning for the environmental conservation program. Previously, she was the director of The Nature Conservancy’s global indigenous and communal lands strategy. She is a board member of the Conservation Measures Partnership and advisor to the Women and Conservation Leadership program.

Paulina holds a master’s in environmental management from Duke University and a bachelor’s in environmental studies from the University of Waterloo, Canada. She also has completed postgraduate studies in gender and natural resources management.
